Creating A Homeschool High School Transcript

As a homeschool parent of a high school student you'll need to learn how to create a homeschool high school transcript, especially if your child plans on attending college. With this in mind, here are some helpful tips.

Layout

Use a professional, standard layout for your student's homeschool high school transcript. Your student's information needs written at the top of the transcript with their last name, then their first name. Include their address, gender, date of birth and social security number too. It's also important to list your name as the homeschool's administrator. If in doubt, samples of this can easily be found online.

What To Include

Write down the courses with descriptions that are easy to understand. Give each class a grade and credit. Indicate any extra-curricular activities your homeschool student engaged in. Also, make sure to include the student's standardized test scores on their homeschool high school transcript, as well as the date of the test. Be as specific and descriptive as possible when it comes to each class.

What Not To Include

There are some things that you never want to do on your homeschool high school transcript. For instance, don't give your student a grade for every year back to preschool. You don't want to overdocument but you do want to highlight your child's abilities.
